AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
VICTORIA COLLEGE CLUB. . At tho annual meeting of the Victoria College Amateur Athletic Club, the report showed a vory successful year, and that tho membership has reached 42, constituting a record for tho club. Tho inter-faculty Bports aroused great interest and keen competition, tho banner being won by the Arts and Science team. At tho university tournament, tho Victoria College won_ tho shield, with a record number of points. It was dccided to enter a team for tlio M'Viliy Shield contest this year. Tho election of officers resulted as_follows_: President, Professor Pickcn; vice-presi-dents, Professors Eastorfield, Kirk, Hunter, Laby, Von Zcdlite. Garrow, Messrs. Tennant, J. P. Firth, Geo. Dixon, G. Hogfcon, J. F. Thomson, F. A. do la Mare, T. W. Leslie, and tho Rev. A. W. H. Comptora; club captain, Mr. O. Strack; h'on. secretary, Mr. A. Hudson; lion, treasurer, Mr. H. 1 Williams ; committee, A. East and A. B. Siovwright; hon. auditor, Mr. G. S. Straok; delegate to Wellington Centre, Mr. A. T. Duncan.
