ASSOCIATION.
W.F.A. COMMITTEE MEETING; ' A meeting of the' Management Committee of 'tho Wellington Football Association was held last owning, Mr. J. B. Paton presiding. Permission' was granted to Newtown Congregational Club to play a Mastertori team at Masterton on Saturday, October 4. ' ' - , Tho New Zealand Council wrote inti-mating-that matters regarding the Corinthian linesman had been considered and that' it had been: decided not - to ilter, the previous decision.. . After a brief discussion it was resolved that the W.F.A. could not'accept tho decision. It was further decided that the council be written to and asked for the rule under which they had come to the above decision. ■ : A sub-committee consisting of tho chairman, treasurer, and Mr. Wells was appointed to make arrangements for the presentation of trophies won by the various clubs this season. Tho sub-com-mittee ; wero instructed to report at next-meeting. TEAM FOR BLENHEIM. Mr. T. Thompson has seleoted the following second division players to meet Marlborough at Blenheim to-morrow:— Goodall, Bryant, Taplin, Holland (captain), Taylor, Balks, Guise, Mattingly, Powell, and Davis. • ' , The Wellington team, under the managership of Mr. E. H. Home, will leave for Pioton by the Pateona at 12.45.p.m. to-day. They, will return by tho same vessel to-morrow evening. AUCKLANDERS GO. ; The' Auckland representative touring team left for home by the 9.10 p.m. express yesterday. Membors of the Management Committee of the- W.F.A. and several players were on the station and gave the visitors a hearty 3end-off.
