Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as ndfcr'on tlieir fortnightly ©ale, held at tie Upper Hutt on Thursday:—Wo offered large yarding of cattle to -a fair attendnee. The demand for all classes has lackened off considerably from previous ales, but we managed to dispose of a air number of the lines under the hammer t the following prices :-Btoro cows, £3 3., £3 195.; springing oowb, £5 to £6 &s.; reanoTS, £1 ss. 6d.; yearling heifcfs, to £Z g. 6d».; yearling steers,-£2 9s. 6d. Messrs. Dalgety -and Company, Ltd., reiort:—'Wo held our fortnightly eale -at Fanganui yesterday, and had an averago arding of both sheep and cattle. Tho iemand for hoggets was Keen, «and gooa irices resulted. Cattle were dull, aad ittle business wag done under the hammer. Xixed hoggets, 15s. 4d. to 15s. 7d.; fat rethers, 275. to 28s. 51; vealers, 18s.; yearing steers, £2 Bs.; 20-months hcifere, £2 35.: empty cows, £4 to £4 55.; dairy cows aid heifers, £4 ss. to £6.
