■ Recognising that tho frontier zone botween Maubougo and Verdun is weak owing to the large concentration of German forces at Treves, 48 miles north-north-east of Metis, a decree has been issued providing for five army corps instead of four to bo in touch on tho frontier in future, and permitting of speedier mobilisation.
