EXPLOSION OF PETROL.
FOURTEEN PEOPLE KILLED. By T«lesr»pli—Pre«i Association—Oopyrljht Paris, September SO. An explosion of petrol caused the collapse of three houses at Cerbere. Fourteen persons wore killed and thirty injured. (Rec. October 2, 0.15 a.m.) Paris, October 1. The river at Cerbere flooded an ironmonger's shop, where petrol and carbide of calcium were stored. Tho acetylene gas formed 1 from tlifi junction of tho water and the carbide ignited, and blow up two houses and fired 1 two others'.
Five familieß were buried in the ruins. The bodies have not been recovered.
