Brigands at Vladikavakaz, on tho Caspian Railway, removed the fishplates from tho rails, and tho express, travelling at forty mi leg an'hour, was precipitated' over an . embankment. Several of the coaches were smashed to atoms. ,
It is believed that tho brigands' object was to rifle tho mails. _ The guard of tho train was severely injured, but managed! to orawl to Tula and prevent •the second train boing wrecked.
