RIFLE SHOOTING,

THE SUBURBS CLUB REUNION.

The Wellington Suburbs Defence Eifle Club held its third annual social gathering in the Alexandra Hall, Abel Smith Sweet, last evening.-. The function, which .was''a- very successful one, opened with a euchre tournament. This was succeeded by a- dance. Mr. S. Shannon was .the winner of tlio men's prizo in the eucliro tournament, while Airs. Love secured the ladies' prize. Messrs. Newton and Turner were the M.C.'s for tiio dance. During the evening the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr. and Mrs. Luke) presented the prizes and trophies won last season. The prizo list is as follows

First series, W. A. Isaac (G. A. Winder's trophy), A. H. Symonds (Mr. T. Butcher's trophy), 11. H. Hunt (club's •trophy). Second series: W.'A. Turner (T. Coltman's trophy), J. L. Turner (W. Hornig's trophy), J. C. ,Nowton (club's trophy). Third series: C. R. Graham (club's trophy), H. It Hunt (secretary's trophy), H*. A. Snelling and T. Goodnll (club's trophies). Fourth series: H. Hunt (Messrs. Hempton and Bellamane's trophy), J. E. ■ Given (Witcombe and l'ym's trophy), A. H. Symonds (club's trophy). For the Suburbs Championship H. Hunt secured first prize, J. L. Turner second prize, and W. M. Jackson third prize. In the President's Handicap li. Hunt was awarded first prize, W. A. Isaac second prize, A. Turner, G. Oliver third prizes. For the Luke Aggregate H. Hunt secured first prize, W. A. Isaac second prize, and J. H.Ross third prize. Miramar Aggregate: A. H. 'Symonds first, prize, F. Stacey second prize, and A. C. Bellamore third prize. Cook Aggregate: A. Turner. The Newton Cup: J. G. Nowton 1, Symonds and A. Turner second. Four special Prizes: A. Turner (700 and 1000 yards aggregate).
