After two experience of the fog signal and owing to complaints from the townspoplo and hospital authorities and doubts as to its utility in its present position, tho Harbour Board to-day decided to ask the Marino Department to give notico ol' discontinuance as from December 31. At a mooting of tlie council of tho Canterbury District Law Society the honorary secretary was instructed to talco proceedings with a view to having the name of Walter Shaw, of Timaru, removed from the roll of solicitors.
