The latest kinema-film shows Johnson losing the boxing championship to Grognet, the French heavy-weight champion. According to the plot, Grognot nsks for the hand of Johnson's niece. The champion consents provided Grognot beats him. The fight goes against Grognot until the fourth round, when the niece begs Johnson not to hurt her lover. Johnson withdraws from the fight, forfeiting the honour, and Carpentier, rushing into the ring, effusively con- ■ gratulates him.
