A TRIUMPH IN MOTOft HAULAGE ECONOMY. Tho most sensational reoord for cheap haulage goes to a recent accomplishment of the Thornyeroft Mptor Wagon.. One of these Motor Wagons, a 30 li.p., was loaded up at Ngahauranga with 2i tons of salt and three passengers, and set forth to show just what could bo done in economical drawing of a heavy load on tho ordinary roads that would come in tho everytiay's work of a commercial motor in tho Wellington district. Tho routo taken was via Waterloo Quay and Jerroia' Quay, Cambridge Terrace, Adelaide Road, away out to Island Bay, and thence the Thorncroft /returned to Newtown. Turning up Constablb Street, it proceeded to Ilataitai, taking then tho stiff climb of Wellington l?oad, and into Constable Street again, proceeding through Wellington by the same route as' before. Tho run was finished at Ngahauranga. Tho fuel was kerosene 130 test, cost lOd. per gallon, and tho CONSUMPTION FOR THE AVHOLU BUN WAS li GALLONS--23 MILES FOR Is. Ojrt. This-accom-plishment places the Thornyeroft ahead of tho front rank for economy in fuel consumption. As to hill-climbing, only tho other day a Thornyeroft Wagon carried a load of 2 tons and four passengers to tho top of Ruben Avenue, Brooklyn, which lias a grade of lin 3. Thero was not a hitch nor a stop to tho summit, and to give tho Wagon a further test it was taken half-way down tlio hill again and BACKED up to the top on the reverse. The wholo performance was accomplished on Kerosene, vapourised by tho Thornyeroft Patent Vapouriscr. When a Motor Wagon can accomplish such work as this on a cheap fuel like Kerosono, it has demonstrated its superiority for commercial purposes beyond question. The Thornyoroft is tho wagon that "does things."— Advt. •
Compavißons are usually odious. But a comparison of the "Werthoim" Sewing Machine with other makes ahvays results in its favour. Not only for its mcohanical perfection, but for its beautiful finish—and its ten years' guarantee. A demonstration costs you nothing. Call on Oscar Hoivott and Co., 50 Cuba Street, Wollinnton.—Advt,
