POLITICAL REFORM LEAGUE.
» DOMINION CONFERENCE. 'Ilie second annual conference of the Dominion branches of tho Now Zealand Political Reform League will open in Wellington on Saturday week, and will lie continued on the Monday. It will be preceded on the Friday by a Women's Conferonco, at which the several branches of the Women's League will be represented. A largo number ' of delegates aro expected to take part iu the proceedings, and it is anticipated i that this year's gathering will prove ' even moro representative than the very successful one of last year. Tho Women's Conference has been colled at tho request of the Wellington Women's Political Reform League, which is affiliated to the New Zealand League, and will be attended by delegates, from practically every branch of the women's work in tho Dominion, something liko thirty ' delegates being expected from tho Auckland Province alone. The Women's Confarenco will open at 11 a.m., in the Sydney Street Hall, and on tho afternoon of tho same day the delegates will bo entertained by the Wellington Women's Reform League at afternoon tea. Tho General Conference is to open 011 Saturday, October 4. and will be held in the same hall. The Primo Minister, who is also th?. president of tho league, will open the proceedings, and will call 011 the conference to elect its chairman, llie chief business of tlio conference will ho tho discussion of matters afioctiug the organisation of the Reform party, but a large number of remits from the several branches will also be dealt with. Arrangements are being made by the Wellington branches of the league to entertain the delegates at a social 011 tho Saturday evening.
