IN THE TECHNICAL SCHOOL. The relative value of the art and in- ■ Austria] classes was discussed at some length nt last evening's meeting of the . Wellington Technical Education Board. Mr. I). Robertson presided, and there Were also present Messrs. J. P. Luko (Mayor), V. Allen, W: H. Field, J. Smith,. J./E. Fitzgerald, D. M'Laren,, mid G. Frost. ■ A letter was received from the ln'dustrial Association, .asking the chairman to ascertain, if possible, the'cost pro rata of the art classes, as against the industrial classes per cognita. _ The chairman reviewed the position as between the. arts and crafts._ . Aftor considerable discussion it was 'decided to meet.the Industrial Association, and tho public, in the Concert Chambor of tho Town Hall, at a dato to , Ijc fixed, when an address on tho scopc • of the school will bo given by Mr., La Trobe.
