The secretary (Mr.'.James Dykes) reports that" tho public are taking far greater interest in the competitions this year, and tin? city will bo represented iiy sonic really first-class talent. In order to encourage local entries, the executive has included in tho syllabus several sections restricted to residents of the Wellington Province. Entries close on Tuesday, September 30.
