Ho considers that the standard of shots is higher in Australia than in England. The trouble in England seemed to be with regard to the raising of men for the sports clubs, which did not receivo siipport from tho Government and very little encouragement from tho newspapers. " Would you believe itP" he said, "tho papers make no end of a> row about golf and other thing of no earthly use, but when it comes to riflo shooting, which is of some practical bonofit to the country, they have no time for it."
