CRICKET.
WELLINGTON SOUTH CLUB. Sir. A. A. George presided at the annual mooting of tho Wellington South Cricket Club held last evening. The annual report and balance-sheet wero adopted, and fourteen now members worn elected. Tho delegates to bo appointed to represent tho club on tho Wellington Cricket Association wero given a free hand to vote as they thought right on tho notices of motion to bo proposed at tho annual meoting of that body to bo held this evening. Tho election of officers resulted as fob lows:—President, Mr. R. A. Wright; vice-presidents, Drs. Boworbank, Cameron, Geisen, IComp, Messrs. .T. P. Luko, F. Alpe. W. 11. P. Barber, T. J. Bell. A. A. Several important quostions will bo considered at tho annual meeting of tho Wellington Cricket Association to-night. lur. J. Fanning will move the following proposed now rule: —"A general meeting of the association shall bo held 0:1 tho third Friday in the months of November, January, March, and Mav of every year. At such meetings the vicepresidents in rotation shall bo asked to preside and the business shall include consideration of matters dealt with by the Management Committee since tho previous general meeting, a financial statement to bo produced by the treasurer, and such other business as may bo brought forward in accordance with tho rules." Mr. D. M'Kenzio has given notice of a motion having for its object- the admission of tho Old Boys' Club to the senior championship. Mr. F. A. Laws will propose the deduction of a point from the championship' total of teams which do not observe punctuality in starting matches.
