RURAL EDUCATION.
CAMP. SCHOOLS SUGGESTED. Mr. E. 'Noivman, M.P. for Kangitikci, asked tho Minister of Education in tie Houso of Representatives, whether tho Government will consider tho advisability of establishing a''system of rural camp schools whereby groups of children attending schools in tho cities and largo towns will periodically visit one of tho Stato farms and thus bo given an opportunity to acquire somo knowledge of, and taste for, country life. The Hon. J. Allen, Minister of Education, replied: Tho matter will be considered. Much moro is already being done for rural education in Now Zealand primary schools than tie public generally seoms to be aware f of—much more, for instance, than is being dono in Australia or Canada.
