When.'tho local Hockey Association engaged Karori Park for the winter season, it. was a condition of-the agreement between the association and the Karori'Borough Council that all championship matches should bo played at iiarori. , ' . At last night's meeting of the .borough Council, Cr. L.' P. Davies mentioned'"that a shield match bad been played on the Basin Reservo last Satnrd«iyi and ho asked if a-ny steps would Ijo takoA. in tho matter. There'seemed to bo a misunderstanding as to tho definition of ''championship notches" in tho agreement, and ho would like to see tho matter cleared up. For that reason lie would liko to movo a resolution. The Mayor (Mr. S. Cathie) remarked that ho could not accept a motion without notice having been given Cr.\Davies replied lio would givo notice and., move in tho matter at the bcxt meeting of the council Tho : subject then dropped.
