NEW SOUTH WALES FINANCES.
STRAINED CONDITIONS DIS-, CLOSED. By Telegraph—Press Association-Copyright (Rec. September 24, 0.25 a.m.) Sydney, September 23. The annual report of the New South Wales Auditor-General points out that though tho State receipts exceeded those of any previous year, the expenditure showed a moro rapid increase, leaving a deficit of £1,044,978, while the loau expenditure was over three millions above any previous year. Ho declares that tho strained condition of finances will liavo to bo relieved by contributions from business undertakings.
