ASSOCIATION.
AUSTRALIAN VISIT PROPOSED. A meeting of tho New Zealand Football Association was held last evening. Mr. C. E. Fordliam presiding. The following delegates were also present: Messrs. J. Inco (Manawatu), J. F. Atkins (Wellington), W. J. H. Reynolds (Poverty Bay), A. F. Newbold (Auckland), H. M'Keowen (Hawke's Bay), W. J. Salmon (Southland), A. Kerr, treasurer, and B. L. Salmon, secretary. Mr. J. Inco, who represented the council at the Manawatu-Canterbury. match, reported that tho gate amounted to £S0 7s.
The Westland Association was granted a month's extension of the present playing season. Permission was granted the Y.M.C.A. Club to play a match with Burnham Industrial School on October 27. 1
The Taranaki Association was granted permission to play a match against tho Auckland touring team at Hawera today. Tho Auckland team will arrive in Wellington to-morrow evening and will play Canterbury on Lancaster Park on September 27. A match will bo played against Wellington on Newtown Park on October 1.
In reply to a letter the secretary of the Now South Wales Association stated that- the question of a visit of a New Zealand team to Australia next year would bo discussed at the Australian Conference which is to bo held at Brisbane. oil October 13.
With a view, to gathering information regarding the proposition of receiving a visit from an Australian team to New Zealand next year, the secretary was instructed to write to all affiliated associations asking what support they would be prepared to give the proposal, tt was pointed out that tho last visit of a representative teaiiv- from Australia was a distinct success. Seeing that tho Association game has made such strides during the interval it was considered that a visit from a team from across tho Tasman Sea would bo a thorough financial success.
It was, stated, that Canterbury, Otago and Southland had allowed matches to bo played without tho consent of the Now Zealand Council. After discussion it was decided to write tha associations.

August 11 regarding tho suspension of a player by the Auckland F.A. be rescinded and that tho following bo substituted: 'That a player when ordered off the field by tho roferco is suspended till Ill's ease is dealt with by the association directly concerncd.' " The New Zealand Referees' Association notified tho following appointments : — Canterbury v. "Auckland, at Clrristchurcli, on September 27; referee, Mr. 11. Brown, of Dunedin. Auckland v. Wellington, at Wellington, on October 1: referee, Mr. K O'Connell. Marlborough v Wellington (schools' match), at Wellington, on October 27; referee, Mr. It. Hutcheson.
