In order to complete annual overhaul, the Mararoa. will withdraw from the Ferry service from September 30 till October 2. The Kaitni, wich leavos here for .the south next Tuesday, will act as ferry steamer for that evening, and the Jfonowai will act in tho same capacity from Lyttelton.to Wellington on Wednesday, October 1. Produce-laden, tho' ketch Lizzie Taylor arrived at Wellington 'from Lyttelton yesterday morning. Tho little sailer left the southern port on September 17, and experienced light north-cast winds till sho was off Palliser Bay. A heavy south-west galo was then encountered, and the Lizzie Taylor was hove to for several hoi'rs, She subsequently ran for shelter to Cloudy Bay, and remained at anchor for' 48 hours. Next steam dispatch from New York for Australian and New Zealand ports, under charter to the, A. and A. Line, is tho Woglinde.
