BOOKBINDERS' ANNUAL DINNER.

The twenty-fourth annual dinner of tlio New 'Zealand Bookbinders' and Paper-Rulers' Trade Society was held in the Hotel Bristol on Saturday evening. Tile' president, Mr. E. J. Widen, presided. During the course of the evening a presentationi was made to Mr. Ann. Naugliton, lately retired from the presidency of the socioty. The following toast list was honoured: "Tho King," proposed by the president; "The Ministry," proposed by the president, and responded to by the Hon. F M. B, Fisher; "Kindred Trades," pro. posed by Mr. Naughtou, and responded to by Messrs. Whittingtaii and l Harper; "The Trades Council." proposed by Mf, Osborne, and responded to by Mr. Ken* nedy; "Tho Society," proposed by Mr. Harper. An enjoyable musical programme was contributed 1 to by Messrs. Church, Burnett, Grillies, Keaney, Kller, llothenborg, Potts', and lloid. Mr. Baker was the accompanist.
