NOT LIKELY TO BE INTRODUCED. By Telesrapli—Press Association—Oopyrisht (Reo. September 21, 6.6 p.m.) Ottawa, September 20. Sir Gilbert Parker, the well-known writer, who was formerly associateeditor of the "Sydney Morning Herald," speaking at the Canadian Club banquet at Winnipeg, said that conscription was nevor likely to be introduced in Britain. It was absolutely inconsistent with Britain's' whole history, but a homo army was needed in Britain as well as in Canada, Australia, Now Zealand, and other Dominions, because in the world's revolution one never could toll what would happen.
