Colonel G. N. Johnston, Instructor of Ordnanco and Artillery, Wellington district, Colonel Braituwaite, ot the Ueneral Staif, Auckland- district, Captain A. Moore, D.5.0., Instructor of Infantry, Otago district, and Major Oritchley-Sahnonson,. Instructor of infantry, Canterbury district, have agreed to accept extension, of their engagement by the New Zealand Government for another year, in order to fill up timei-'till Dominion.officers, jvho are now under instructional training, are able to fill the positions.An extension of these Imperial officers' engagements is deemed to bo, more economical, the Hon. J. Allen informed a . reporter yesterday, than paying , the passages .of new British officers to New Zealand- and baok to England.
