MOTOR-CYCLING.
WELLINGTON CLUB'S REPORT,
The affairs of tho Wellington Motor Cycling Club are, according to the club's annual report, in a satisfactory position. Tlio number of activo members is 82, and tho balance-sheet shows a credit of £13 12s. lOd. T'lto various competitions held during the year aro enumerated, and tho winnors of prizes named. Tho 24-hour reliability trial was abandoned. Twclvo week-end competitions wero held and proved very successful. Tho Sutherland and Rankine Cup presented for competition at theso Saturday afternoon events was won by Mr. H. Plimmor. An exceedingly successful raco mooting was held at Trentliam in connection with tho Citizens' Carnival. Tho thanks of tlio club aro given to Dr. Ross, Mr. and Mrs. W. Beaucliamp-Platts, Messrs. H. Plimmor, C. G. Sherwood, and T. Inglis for donations and trophies, and to all who assisted in carrying out tho various functions and .competitions* The committee rccom-
mends tlio elcotion of Mr. Warwick Wilson, to an honorary lifo membership in. recognition of tho services rendered by him to the club when in Wellington. The following gentlemen havo signified their intention of donating trophies for tho. coming season Messrs. Logio (cup for side-car competition), Foord (trophy to momber bringing tho greatest number of new members), H. W. and J. H. Lawronco (trophy to member attending most club gatherings), I. V. Wilson (trophy for two-day trials —light-weight class), and Bridge (trophy for competition yet to be decided upon). In addition to theso, tho usual cups will also bo offered for competition.
