Owing no doubt to the last shipment of Island oranges . having been condemned, the consignment of fruit from Sydney this week sold at very good prices, oranges especially being in demand s The Melbourne-Hobart steamer this week brought a very small shipment of apples only, all lines commanding good values. : So far as local apples and pears aro concerned the consignments are very small and consequently values are good. Asparagus, French beans, and green peas are noiv arriving in small quantities with rhubarb in full supply. Spring flowers are in excellent demand. Potatoes are still in full supply with little diiference in value. Fresh eggs have been' in excellent demand during tho week, but the market now shows signs of weakening.
