ONSLOW COUNCIL.
- The Onslow Borough Council mot last orening, the Mayor (Mr. F. Ilouldsvvorth) presiding. Councillors R. A. ■Nicol, A. H. Hoby, E. C. Alderson, L. A. .Browne, D. Munro, B. Lynneberg, J. C. Gardner', C. Monro, and C. Bcm-den were also present. It M as decided to grant Messrs. Levin and Co. permission to construct channel crossings at Westminster Street, ICaiwarra, in accordanco with tho conditions expressed in their letter of September 8. On the °f Councillor Bowden it ttas decided to ask tho Postal Department to place the. promised slot telephone in tho yard of the Kaiwarra P.O.—a recess having been made in the feneo for that purpose. The report of the Sanitation Committee, which was adopted, made recommendations for the District Health Officer to visit certain premises in tho borough with a view to having alleged insanitary conditions removed. After some discussion jt was decided to refer the engineers amended report on tho alteration of tho grade in Victoria Road to tho Works Committee. '
