The match has just been iruii at Portsmouth naval yards, Captain Back winning by r, yard in 12 l-ssec. NATIVES SENTENCED FOR " MURDER. Port Darwin, September 18. Five natives havo been .sentenced' to death for the murder of C. Campbell, a well-known Trepang fisherman, who was amibushed by a party of natives while ho was fishing, and killed with spears in July last. KING CONSTANTINE. (Rec. The schooner Americana, which left Columbia River on March 3 last, for Sydney, and lias not since been heard of, has been posted at Lloyd's 1 as missing. GROCERS' EXHIBITION. London, September 17. The Commonwealth, South Australia, Queensland, and Western Australia have excellent displays of produce at tho grocers' exhibition' at Islington, opening on Saturday next. "KILLED BY AN UNKNOWN HAND." Melbourne, September 18. Tho Coroner found that tho old man Richard KniSgJit, a hermit, whoso death was reported last month, was shot by some wrsoni unknown. All efforts by the police to trace tho murderer have been futile.
SOCIETY DIVORCE SUIT. {~ Sydney, September 18. In tlie society divorce suit, Mrs. Watt obtained a decreo nasi against her husband, Captain Watt, A.D.C. to tho lato Sir Frederick Darloy (Lieutenant-Gov-omor of New South Wales) and the lato Sir Harry Raw-son (the Governor), on the ground of his adultery with Ivy Schilling, the actress.
