; —D . SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present Indications axe for strong westerly winds with changeable weather generally. BQ-uolly and showery southwards of New Plymouth and' Napier, . but there are indications for a temporary improvement to on. The ■ barometer has still a falling tendency generally, but rising temporarily in the south. A sQuall area, of moderate Intensity has passed .in the south, and. strong northerly winds have prevailed, but with a westerly tendency to-day. Changeable and soually conditions have ruled, especially in and southwards of Oook Strait, and rain has fallen in the high country and western districts. B. V. PEJIBEETON.
