Professor Kirk proposes resigning his position as a member of the ton City Council's Museum Advisory Committee. A letter has been received bv tho council giving Professor Kirk s reasons, but this communication is not yet available to the press. However a. Dominion reporter was informed that tho resignation is in protest against what Professor Kirk .regards as financial starvation of tho museum. It is further stated that Professor Kirk considers that tlio council should grant tho museum at least £300 per year. The Wtter of tho resignation is to be announced by tho committee whoso dutiei embrace tho control of tho museum.
