(By Toloßrajph—Press tChristchuroh, September 17. As the result of a collision between a tramcar and a trap, Dr. Brittain, of Papanui, sustained a broken collarbone and two broken ribs. A friend, who was in the trap with the doctor, escaped with . a -severe shaking and bruises. But . for the promptitude with which the motormnn applied tho brakes the collision would have been much more serious.
