AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE SYSTEM MISREPRESENTED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright ' Times"—Sydney "Sun" Special Cables. (Roc. September 17, 6.5 p.m.) London, September 17. The English provincial press is flooded with articles extravagantly misrepresenting the Australian system of compulsory service. These arc believed to emanate from the Peace Society advocates and Socialists. Captain Collins, private secretary to the Australian High Commissioner (Sir George Roid) has' issued a contradiction of these inaccurate statements.
