HISTORICAL PAGEANT.
INTERESTING SERIES OF GROUPS. Tho Investiture of tho present Prince of Wales took place at Carnarvon Castlo on July 13, 1911. Tho presentation of tho first Prince, of Wales (Edward II) to tho Welsh pcoplo will be reproduced at the Historical Pageant at Newtown Park on October 25 and 26. This group, which has been entrusted to Mrs. James Hislop, is well forward, and, it is stated, judging by tho enthusiasm of those who are taking part, it gives evidence of being most successful. Altogether somo 60 ladies and gentlemen are busily engaged preparing for this episode. Tho following is the formation of tho pageant for this period:—Heralds, followed by tho Bishops; King Edward I with his retinuo; Queen Eleanor of Castile with hor pages; ladies-in-waiting, courtiers, and knights, with men-at-arms ranged on either side. Thc_ Queen Mother; Eleanor of Provenco with hor ladies; a canopy borne by four knights under which the. nurso is carrying tho Royal babe, Prince Edward 11. \\ hllo tho group arranges itself for tho presentation, the crowd of English and Welsh form up and applaud with enthusiasm as tho King comes forward, and taking the Royal child 111 his arms presents him to the people. 1
