Mr. J. Ewing lias been engaged as engineer on ' the coastal steamer Aorere. H.M.S. PyTa,m,u9 is expected to arrive at Auckland' from the Kow Hebrides about October 26. Corinna-, s.s., will not arrive at Wellington from Onshunga and New Plymouth till to-morrow. She saib for Dunedin, Oamani, and Timaru at noom The Government steamer Hinemoa was expected to have left Wellington at 5 a.m. to-day for Cook Strait.lighthouses. She is expected to leave for the northern lights about tho end of this week. The Tyser liner Indrabarah is scheduled to leave Wellington for' Sydney -to-morrow afternoon. Tho Monowai, which leaves Lyttelton for Wellington this evening, will act as ferry steamer in place of the Mararoa, which is at present laid up at Wellington, for overhaul.
