THE NORTH CLTJB'SEEPOET. The annual'report of.tho Wellington North. Cricket Club congratulates members on winning the senior championship, wid on the marked improvement which has been made in tho financial pisition.. Tho membership was .considerably .increased during the season, but' mention is made of the poor attendance at the practice nets. The senior eleven played,nine matches, winning eight and losing one. Mr. J.P. Blacklock heads tho batting averages, with- 25.46, and Mr. T. R. Southall, who is at t'he top of the bowling with an average of 10.4 runs per wicket, put up a rccord for Wellington senior cricket by taking'o9 wickets. Tho junior eleven played eleven, matches, winning five, losing five, , and leaving one unfinished:,. M-r/i ;Ei r batting average with 36.7 runs. per innings, -while Mr. W,. T. Wyhyiird had. tho best bowling .With 6.2, ; p0jr: wicket. v 'lW third ; cioveiv pliyed eighr teen matches, winning nirio and' losing nine. Mr. S. 117 Huntingdon; secured the best 1 batting averago with 22,3 runs per innings, as well as securing the' bowling average with. 2.4 runs per wicket. ;;Mr. L.',Hanratty also bowled well during the season, .obtaining' 33 wickets at' a cost of 7:5 runs per wicket. Tho club was represented in tho Wellington representative team by Messrs. Blacklock, Wilscn, Southall, and Phillips. The thanks of the committee are tendered to those who contributed ,to the finances, and to Mr. H. D. Clementson, wlio actcd as scorer to the senior eleven ttroughoiit tho season. Tho committee also placed on record the services'rendered to t'he club for several years', past by Mr. C. W. Charlesworth as hon. secretary and trajwurer.
