MAGISTRATE'S, COURT.
SLEEPING IN RAILAYAY CABS. In the Magistrate's Court yesterday William John Smith, Robert Henry Connolly, John Donohue, who were deemed to lie idle and disorderly persons, admitted that they had insufficient lawful means of support. Donohue was sent to gaol for a month. The other two were ordered to appear for sentence when called' on. The trio had been arrested sleeping in railway carriages. MAINTENANCE MATTERS. For disobedience of maintenance orders, Joseph Samuel Perkins was sentenced to three months' imprisonment, hut the warrant will bo suspended so long as,los. per week is paid off the arrears; a conviction and an order for costs were entered agSinst John Dutton ; and Edgar Joyce was fined £1. DRINK CASES. For insobriety, Slay Gibbons was fined £2, and prohibited; ,Thomas_ Sheehaii 'was fini'd £1; Thomas. Newton Withers £2; James Peter Sniitli 10s.; and William Donovan £1. For breach of a-prohibition order, Frederick Lyness was fined £4.
