ECLIPSE OF THE MOON.
■ A PERFECT VIEW. Thanks to a clear, cloudless sky, the eclipse of the moon was perfectly observed throughout all its phases last night and early this morning. the moon was full. Tho first cpntaot with the penumbra was at 9.40 p.m.) and with tho shadow at 10.23 p-m. The moon was totally eclipsed at 0.18 a.m., the last contact with the' shadow was at 2.14 a.m., antl with' tho penumbra at 3.27 a.m. . • ~ , The' uncommon sight was witnossod by many. ... ...;..• ... • About 50 people wore interested tators of tho eclipso at - tho Wellington College Observatory, . where, through tho telescope l tliore, they wore enabled (B.V Telegraph.—Frees Association.) Masterton, September 15. Hundreds of residents were interested in the luna cclipso to-night. Tho sky being clear, a magnificent view was obtained.
