TO-DAY'S DINNER.
(Specially Written for The Dominion.) TUESDAY. Vegetable Soup. Corned Beef and Dumplings. Potatoes. Carrots. German Apple Tart; GERMAN APPLE TART. Ojio and a half lb. apples, ill), dates (stoned), Jib. sugar, a little water, Jib. short crust. For the crust—Flour, 5 lb.; 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 11 teaspoons allspice, ioz. butter, 1 egg yolk, a little sugar, water to mix. Peel the fruit and stew the dates and apples together till tender. Add the sugar and leave to cool. Sift the spices and flour together; rub in the butter, and mix to a sfilf paste with the yolk of egg and water. With half of the pastry lino a deep plate, fill with the apjile mixture, and cover with tho rest of tho pastry. Decorate, and bake in a quick oven till brown. ' To serve cold decorato with tho beaten white of egg well, sweetened; spread oyer and decorate with crystalised cherries, Put in a cool oven to set. . FOR TO-MORIIOW. Stock, onions, cold meat, cold potatoes, sttet, rhubarb.
