TAIHAPE NOTES.
At the annual meeting of the Taihape Defence Rillo Club the showed a credit of £2 lUs. 3d. Iho election of ollicers , resulted: Patron, Mr. J. F. Stuholme; president, Mr. J. G. Turnbull; vice-captain, Mr. C. Batt; auditor, Mr. L. E.' Peacon; secretary and treasurer, All". H. Johnston; committee, Messrs. \V. Nathie, H. Marsh, F. N. Whitcombe, and G. Sutherland. Trophies were won as follow: Champion shot (Mr. J. F. Studholme's trophy), Rifleman J. G. Turnbull; highest aggregate in competition shoots (Mr. W. M'Lennan's trophy), Rilleman AV. Natliie; highest score in club _ match (the president's challenge cup), Rifleman V/. Nathio; second highest aggregate (Mrs. ,T. Turnbull's trophy), Rifleman H. Bartell; third in aggregate (Sirs. J. Anderson's trophy), Rifleman S. Bason. A number of other trophies will bo com l poted for during the coming season, which is to be opened on Dominion Day.
