Jlessrs. Abraham . and Williams, Ltd. (Falmcrston branch), report:—Wo held our monthly sale of wool, skins, and hide 3 yesterday, when we offered a largo oatar logue to a good attendance of buyers. Competition was keen throughout, and, with the exception of some lilies of calf,siting, wo sold the whole of our offering. The demand for wool and sheepskins was particularly good, and prices compare favourably with last month's sale. Wool: Our entry comprised .50 bales and bags of wool, chiofly crutohings, which sold a,s follows :—Oritchings, sd.to 7{d.; dead, 6}d. to 9d.; washed pieces, BJd.; locks and pieces, 4d. to 53d.; black, 7d. Skins: Wo ottered 2259 sheepskins, and tho bist prices obtained were, fts., lfls. Id., and 12s. 7d. for eome really line lines. Others eold as follow:— Crossbred, fine, Bd. to BtT.; crossbred, medium, GJd. to 83d.; crossbred, inferior, 63d. to 7id.; dead, 63d; to 73d.; hoggets, 63d.; iiuartor-wools, 6id.; lambs,'6d. to 7Jd.; butchers' skins, crossbred, fine, Es. 'VI., 7s. 6d. to 10s. Id.; medium at 4s„ 65., ss. 6d., 6s. 5d., 7s. 10d., 9s. to 12s. 7d.; inferior and damaged, 65.; dead skins at per piece, £>;. 7d.; hoggets, 3a.; black, 3s. 6d.; salted ekins, at per piece, crossbred, ss. 4d., 6s. 4d., 7«.' to 7s. fid.; quartor-woolled, 2s. Cd. Hides: Ox, 73d. to 83d.; cows, heavy, 6M.; medium, Bd. to 81d.; cows, cut and slippy, 6(1. to 7£d.; heifers and steers. 7id.; bulls, sd. to 6d.; liorso hides, at each, 6s. 6d„ 83. 6d. to 9s. 3d. Calfekinsf Wo passed Rome of tho best linos, but"hope to sell them later. In the meantime, we are auoting the prices actually realised at the salo.
