At the Wages Board's _ inquiry _ into the wharf labourers' claims, Hillyor (president of tho Wharf _ Labourers' Union), in reply to a question, declared that a man should! obey tho laws of the land if they suited him. If they didn't lie should break them. A member of tho union, whon refusing to take the oath, stated that he did not beliovo in a Supremo Being, and that many of his mates held similar views. THE WHARFMEN'S STRIKE. (Rec. September 13, 1.5 a.m.) Sydney, September 12. Tho latest development of tho wharf strike is that tho Huddart-Parksr Company has commenced unloading the Burruinbeot with tho assistance bf clerks and other permanent hands. No interference has beon offered by tho strikers.
