MIRAMAR AFFAIRS.

A' meeting of the Miramar Borough Couno.il, held last evening, was attended by the Mayor (Mr. F. Townsend) and Councillors Telford, Smith, Stono, Underwood, and Tracy. With regard to tramway affairs, which have been tho matter of discussion for some timo between the comcil and tho Wellington ciiy authorities,, tlio Wellington Town Clerk wroto asking that the council Should allow an officer of the Department to make a full investigation of tho finances of the Miramar lino. It was decided to allow tlio investigation to bo mado, tho liopo being expressed that it would bo dono at t'he earliest possible moment, with a view to tho immediato settlement of tho question. Councillors Sone, Smith, and Underwood were appointed a committee to discuss the question of amalgamation with the city authorities.
