6 THE PROUD CUP FINAL. The championship of the local lacrosse season will bo decided at the Basin Reservo on Saturday afternoon, the contesting teams being Capitol and Columbia. Both teams havo emerged'from three rounds of tlio cup competition with honours equal and there is indica*tion of a great struggle for supremacy. Followers of lacrosse (says tho official note) are expected to muster in strong force, and are promised an attractive display of attacking work, tho combination of both teams being above the average. Tho winning team will bo enr titled to possession of the Proud Cup, which is at present held by Capitol as last season's champions. Mr. J. H. Ryder will act as referee.
