A special sitting of the Supreme Court is to be held for the purpose, of admitting as barristors those members of the party who aro barristers of tho United Kingdom. ' (Rec. The members of the British Parlia- ■ mentary Party are greatly impressed - with their northern trip, and culogistio in their praise of tho beauties and • potentialities of Australia generally.' There was a great gathering of legal talent at the Supreme Court to witness the admission of the legal members'" ofthe party to the Now South Wales Bar, which was an imposing ceremony. ( Subsequently tho wliolo party were the guests of tho Chamber of Commerce at ■ lunch. ' Tho Piesident of the Chamber, m a' speech, declared that the visit of their ' guests would help towards a greater mutual understanding and sympathy, without which nothing in the Enipiro ideal could be achieved. . Sir Joseph Walton, replying to tho\ President, said that the visitors had • viewed with pride and admiration the development already achiovod in Australia. Ho congratulated the Empiro • on what Australia had done. . Colonel Carlisle said that if the visit! ; taught them anything, it was that the| security on their loans was m every . senso satisfactory. He asked them to ■ encourage British-manufactured goods,,, and to send what Australia demands.
