Tho ,Wages Board is at present discussing tho claims submitted by tho Wharf Labourers' Union, including thoso involved in tho strike. It is 'probable that there will' be further developments, but that will depend oil the award of tho Wages Board. In tho meantime tho meeting of shipowners has adjourned till Monday, awaiting evouts. Both sides are firm. COAL-iARD HANDS RESUME. (Rec. September 11, 10 p.m.) Melbourne, September 11. After a long strike, the coal-yards employees have resumed,work, pending tlic reference of their _ trouble to the Wages Board in Adelaido. CONCILIATION PREVAILS. (Rec. September 11, 11.20 p.m.) Sydney, September 11. A conferenco held between the shipbuilding omployers and tho men at Edinburgh has settled tho question of boiler-makers' overtime, tlms avoiding a lock-out. STRIKE AT SALFORD DOCKS. (Rcc. Soptember 11, 11.20 p.m.) London, Sept-ombor 11. 1 Five hundred timber carriers at Salford Docks struck for an increase of a shilling per day. Thr-eo thousand other labourers have struck in sympathy. WIRELESS OPERATORS ON STRIKE (Rec. September "11, 7.15 p.m.) London, September 11. Tho wireless operators on the Italian steamers liavo struck work, and sent messages to Paris, Liverpool, and New York, asking their colleagues to suppoit tliem in their demands.
