Tile United States is amazed and shocked by the announcement that Mr. W. J. Bryan (Secretary of State) is about to lecture in a big tent in twelve towns, sharing honours with a troup of magicians, jugglers, Alpine jodellcrs, and numerous other curious attractions. Mr. Bryan is to get half tho "g'ato." In July last it was announced that Mr. Bryan, declaring that ho was unable lo live on JE2IOO a year, intended startiug oil a lecturing tour. It was subsequently stated that his decision would cost him thousands of votes at future elections.
