PROPOSAL FOR CESSION TO AUSTRALIA. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Ree. September 10, 9.10 p.m.) Melbourne, September 10. A deputation from tho Australian Natives' Association has asked Mr. I'. M. Glynn (Federal Minister for External Affairs) to submit to the Imperial Government a proposal to open negotiations with tho French Government for the cession and control of Now Caledonia to Australia, in exchange for British territory in some other part of the world. Mr. Glynn has undertook to submit tho proposal to his Cabinet, and, if opportunity arose, to the British Government.
