SUMMARY AND FORECAST.
Present indications gxo for boisterous arid unsettled weather, with rain generally —eJectricnl disturbances in tho eouth and on the West Coast of the South Island, where conditions are particularly threatening. High northerly ami westerly winds are probable, but are likely to chaise to southerly in tho south in from 24 to 36 houxe, the ba.romotor falling in the mean-time for a westerly etorm area novr in ovidance. The barometer has fallen; everywhere today, and strong westerly and northerly winds have prevailed.
