Store sheep ware oiFored in smaller numbers, and the oniy change in prices was that ewe hoggets were iirmcr. A few u&w season's fat lambs sold well, and fat slieop opened firmly, but the market- cased somewhat later on. Fat pigs sold freely at an advance in prices.

Twenty-six now season's fat lambs wero entered. These wero of nice Quality, mid well Brown, and they sold well, the bost making 255. to 2Ss„ and lighter sorts ISs. to 225. 6d. The entry of fat sheep was somiawhat larger than for tlio past two weeke. Tlxo market, opened very firmly, but cased oil somewhat later 011. THE BTJICTSIDE MARKET. • Dunodin, September 10. At Birrnside to-day, 161 fat cattle wero yarded, composed principally of medium to prime steers and heifere, and with an odd pen of heavy-weights. Trices at tho commencement. of the ealo were 10s. . per head dearer, but-, as the rale progressed, they receded to last week's rate?. There wan a large entry of fat sheep. 5353 being penned. The bulk consisted of prime wethers and ewes, a larger proportion thou usual comprising ewes. As the yarding was too large for the trade, priecs showed a drop of from la to Is. 6d. per head. Best wcthens realised up to 32b. 9d.; prime*, 28s. to 305.; good 245. to 265.; light. 20s. to 225.; best cwea, to 315.; prime, 235-. to 2m.; good, 2fe. to 225. 6d.; lighter, 18s. to lfe. 6d. Thrco limbs, (Irst of the season, wero penned. They wore on the small side. Ono realised 225. 6di. and two 19s. 6d. Pigs: Sixty-seven fat pigs and 124 et.sres were penned. Pricea were easier than those ruling last week.
