Jamieson, of Cliristchurch, is staying at tho Oak Hotel. < Mr. Arthur Hatherall, of Hastings, who was severely injured through his motor bicyclo colliding with a dray at Havelock last Monday, is making a rapid recovery, and is now out of danger. Mrs. Barry, wife of Mr. H. P. Barry, (superintendent of the Waihi Gold Mining Company), diod at her residence at an early hour on Wednesday morning. The deceased lady had been in ill-health' for 6omb years,. and for tho_ past 12 months had been a confirmed invalid. Messrs. A. K. Rogers, of 'Now Plymouth, J. If. Strang, of Mastorton, W. Mr. Allan Hamilton, of Sydney, who is well known in Now Zealand, has retired from tho theatrical business with which 110 has boon connected for more than thirty years.
