Maeartliy terminated on August 19, and in View of tho conditions imposed in a the deed the public are naturally interes- ' ted as to the manner in which all money is to bo distributed. The fixed mema bers of tho trust are his Excellency tho ■■ Governor, the Primo Minister, the Mayor of Wellington, and tho Roman a Catholic Archbishop of Wellington. Soon 0 after the Trust assembled it was oonsid- " ered advisable by tho then chairman 6 (Lord Islington) to set up an Advisory V Committee to tho Board of Trustees, 0 which was, by its nature, a bodv liable to frequent changes. Up till the present thero has been two cliangcs in its [ 1 personnel in the advent of Lord Livor- !> pool, as Governor, and Mr. J. P. Luko, t as Mayor. The Advisory Committeo apt pointed wero: Messrs. C. P. Skerrott, e J. G. W. Aitken, E. P. Bunny, and i- Dr. Valin'tine. i) The practical work of administering e tlio estate, however, was left in the a hands of tho executor, tho Public Trusf tee, whose Wellington district manager, e (Mr. 0. Zachariah) has boon active in !- the work. Ho lias prepared a complete g statement of the year's transactions, ), and an account of the moneys nvailn ablo for distribution among the varo ions charitablo and educational instii- tutions whom the Trust' (under guidit anco from tho Advisory Board) deem if eligiblo to benefit under the conditions e of the will. The statement, together o with a balance-sheet, have been handed on to the Advisory Committee, together tl with the names of tlio applicants (somo : thirty odd in number, _ from all parts n of 'tho. Wellington district) and the Ad--0 visory Committeo is to report to tho t Trust in about five weeks' time.
